First game was the East Texas State Lions Vs. North Texas State Eagles in Fall of 1951. 1972 NAIA National Championship Game was played at Memorial Stadium, with the ETSU Lions defeating Carson-Newman College 21-18. Voted the best stadium in the Lone Star Conference by Fans in 2015.
