Wooden Tanks

Staving Up

Staving up.
The staves are grooved at the bottom and this groove is knocked onto the bottom boards.  A manila rope is nailed around the top on the staves and supported by ship lap lumber as they are put up.  After all staves are put up a hoop is placed at the 30" level and tightened.  This has to be done in one day.
