Graveside rites for Mattie Ruth Costin, 82 of Sweetwater, a former
Lamesa resident, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Lamesa Cemetery with
Rev. Malcolm Brown and Dr. Don Goates of First Baptist Church of
Sweetwater, officiating.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the McCoy Chapel
of Memories in Sweetwater.
Mrs. Costin died 10:15 a.m. Friday at a Roscoe nursing home.
Born in Georgetown she lived in Lamesa from 1918 until 1972 when she
moved to Sweetwater.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Costin of Sweetwater and H.B.
Costin of Abilene; a brother, Howard McSpadden of Lamesa; six
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
